Director of Finance

About This Role

This role involves providing financial direction and analysis to division operations, focusing on cost reduction, operational improvements, and managing the annual budget process. The Director of Finance will also be responsible for monitoring internal controls and reporting performance metrics.

Responsibilities

• Direct the preparation of monthly analysis of revenue, cost of goods sold, labor and operational expenses against prior year and budget, providing explanations and business solutions to help mitigate any costs or risks at the unit
• Analyze financial performance against key business metrics and document pertinent financial highlights that will enable management to determine progress against budgets
• Identify, investigate, and analyze potential operational improvements and make proposals for operational changes (policy, procedures, processes, etc.)
• Identify issues with billing, collections and financial processing within the unit and propose mediation
• Provide leadership and direction including KPI definition and measurement to the field finance personnel
• Provide Client facing presentations as needed
• Review and maintain pertinent finance policies and procedures

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
• 7+ years of experience in a similar position
• Strong experience in income statement analysis
• Advanced Excel skills (lookups and pivot tables)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
• Strong organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to direct and lead a team both onsite and remote

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting Required. MBA or CPA preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in a similar position with operations experience preferred
