About This Role

This Director of Design Build & Engineering will lead the design-build process for construction projects, focusing on HVAC systems, ensuring timely completion and adherence to standards. The role involves managing a team of engineers and designers, and collaborating with clients and architects.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee all design-build projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with client requirements and company standards
• Lead a team of engineers and designers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment that encourages creativity and problem-solving
• Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the design-build process
• Work closely with clients, architects, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations and ensure they are met
• Review and approve all project designs and plans, ensuring they are technically sound and meet all relevant safety and environmental regulations
• Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of the design-build team, providing feedback and guidance as needed
• Stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in the construction industry, incorporating them into our design-build process as appropriate

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the construction industry with a focus on design-build and engineering
• Extensive knowledge and experience with HVAC systems and related technologies
• Proven leadership experience with a track record of managing and motivating high-performing teams
• Strong technical skills with the ability to review and approve complex design plans and blueprints
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills
• A commitment to quality and customer satisfaction
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification in a relevant field is a plus.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry, with a focus on design-build and engineering.
