About This Role

As a Director in Interest Rate Sales, you will deliver value-driven solutions to institutional clients, contribute to the growth of our global Rates business, and act as a trusted advisor to clients.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse client base, including asset managers, hedge funds, pension funds, insurance companies, and other institutional investors
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their unique objectives and tailoring interest rate solutions to meet risk management needs
  • Onboard clients by managing the full lifecycle of the onboarding process, including completing KYC requirements, negotiating documentation such as ISDAs and CSAs
  • Provide expert-level analysis and insights into U.S. Treasury securities, interest rate swaps, swaptions, and a broad spectrum of fixed-income derivatives
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of macroeconomic developments, monetary policy decisions, and market trends, translating these insights into actionable strategies for clients
  • Collaborate closely with trading teams to ensure precise and efficient execution of client orders, maintaining rigorous standards for accuracy, compliance, and financial outcomes
  • Manage the comprehensive sales lifecycle, encompassing pre-trade preparation, pricing strategy, real-time negotiation, and detailed post-trade analysis
  • Develop and present creative trade strategies and solutions that leverage deep expertise in the interest rate markets and align with client objectives
  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities, expanding the firm's client base and driving sustainable revenue growth
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture within the sales desk

Requirements

  • Deep expertise in the US Rates market and associated products (US Treasuries, TIPS, Interest Rate Swaps, Interest Rate Options)
  • Proven ability to apply knowledge to develop and execute tailored client solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to model complex trades, assess and mitigate associated risks, and identify potential challenges or inefficiencies
  • Proficiency in utilizing advanced tools such as Excel, Bloomberg, and other financial software
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in a client-facing sales role with institutional clients
  • Fluent in English with exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in finance, economics, mathematics, engineering, or another technical discipline
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in a client-facing sales role with a demonstrated track record of successfully managing and growing a portfolio of institutional clients.

Nice to Have

  • Relationships with Real Money clients including Asset Managers, Banks, and Insurance Companies (especially Boston and West Coast communities)
  • Demonstrated expertise in conducting trade analysis and structuring complex transactions
  • Proficiency in creating advanced Excel models
  • Strong capabilities in programming languages such as VBA or Python
