Lead the global tax function for Barracuda, overseeing tax strategy, compliance, and operations across multiple jurisdictions including direct and indirect taxes. This role involves advising executive leadership on tax implications and ensuring compliance with private equity objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead the global tax function, including direct and indirect tax strategy, compliance, and operations
- Build and mentor a high-performing tax team, fostering collaboration and professional growth
- Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on tax implications of strategic decisions
- Engage with executive-level management to negotiate critical matters such as cross-border tax structures, audit settlements, transfer pricing positions, and M&A transaction terms
- Develop and execute comprehensive global tax strategies aligned with corporate objectives and develop robust plans for cash tax savings
- Advise on tax implications of business decisions, transactions, and new initiatives
- Identify and mitigate tax risks through robust governance and proactive planning
- Oversee VAT, GST, HST, and sales/use tax compliance and planning across jurisdictions
- Ensure timely and accurate federal, state, and international income tax filings
- Manage ASC 740 tax provision and uncertain tax positions
