Manage all dietary functions and personnel at a long-term care facility, ensuring the provision of nutritionally balanced and therapeutic meals while maintaining a safe and sanitary department.
Responsibilities
- Inspect the Dietary Department daily to ensure it is safe and sanitary
- Submit written reports to the administration as necessary
- Plan nutritionally balanced and therapeutic meals that reflect resident preferences and public health regulations
- Oversee food purchase, production, and timely service of meals
- Direct and supervise all dietary functions and personnel
- Hire, orient, train, counsel, discipline, and terminate dietary employees when appropriate
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) or eligible for certification
- 2+ years of experience in food service management
- Computer knowledge
