About This Role

This role will perform hemodialysis tasks, including machine setup, patient connection, monitoring, and disconnection, as well as cleaning and reprocessing dialyzers. The Dialysis Technician will communicate with patients, families, and staff while supporting their career growth within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Perform hemodialysis tasks, including setting-up dialysis machines
  • Couple patients to dialysis machines, monitoring treatment then disconnecting them after treatment
  • Clean and reprocess dialyzer, working with chemicals involved in the operation of the dialysis equipment being aware of safety procedures
  • Refer identified problems appropriately
  • Perform other tasks as delegated
  • Communicate with patients, their families, staff and other organizations
  • Float to other clinics, as needed, to maintain safe patient care

Requirements

  • Proof of High School Diploma (or GED or advanced degree)

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • On-the-job training provided for 8+ weeks without previous healthcare experience.

Nice to Have

  • Education in the science field
  • Prior direct patient care experience
  • Prior phlebotomy experience
