DevOps Engineer - TS/SCI with Security Clearance

About This Role

Design, develop, and deploy a state-of-the-art technology stack, focusing on containerized microservices architecture and technical systems administration for a mission-critical big data pipeline.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy a state-of-the-art technology stack
• Contribute to the design, deployment, and maintenance of a full stack containerized microservices architecture
• Perform technical systems administration, installation, and configuration
• Foster a DevOps culture and build strong cross-functional collaboration
• Deploy, triage and maintain a production big data pipeline using a microservice architecture
• Enhance, improve, and maintain CI/CD and DevOps scripts and processes
• Design, develop, and support scalable, redundant infrastructure
• Use Helm to configure Kubernetes deployments to support new feature requirements
• Collaborate with System Engineers to design solutions for new features and requirements
• Participate in Agile release planning, scrum of scrums, bug triage, design sessions and other meetings

Requirements

• Active Top Secret/ SCI security clearance with ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with Polygraph
• Knowledgeable in navigating Linux OS
• Experienced with container / container orchestration, specifically Kubernetes
• Skilled with CI/CD pipeline orchestration and the use of Gitlab
• Comfortable with Elastic Search, Logstash, Kibana
• Demonstrated ability to participate in cross-functional planning, coordination, and task execution

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience
• 8+ years in software development, system engineering or related field, or 6+ years with Master's degree

• Experience with systems at scale
• Experience/knowledge of key Agile processes and techniques
• Experience with development (Bash, PowerShell, SALT, Python, Groovy, Java)
• Experience on a production/ enterprise system
• Experience with Kafka or other message passing systems (AMQP, JMS)
• Kubernetes monitoring (e.g., Prometheus/ Graphana)
• SALT for deployment automation
• Helm and Helmfile
• Nexus
