Design, develop, and deploy a state-of-the-art technology stack, focusing on containerized microservices architecture and technical systems administration for a mission-critical big data pipeline.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and deploy a state-of-the-art technology stack
- Contribute to the design, deployment, and maintenance of a full stack containerized microservices architecture
- Perform technical systems administration, installation, and configuration
- Foster a DevOps culture and build strong cross-functional collaboration
- Deploy, triage and maintain a production big data pipeline using a microservice architecture
- Enhance, improve, and maintain CI/CD and DevOps scripts and processes
- Design, develop, and support scalable, redundant infrastructure
- Use Helm to configure Kubernetes deployments to support new feature requirements
- Collaborate with System Engineers to design solutions for new features and requirements
- Participate in Agile release planning, scrum of scrums, bug triage, design sessions and other meetings
Requirements
- Active Top Secret/ SCI security clearance with ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with Polygraph
- Knowledgeable in navigating Linux OS
- Experienced with container / container orchestration, specifically Kubernetes
- Skilled with CI/CD pipeline orchestration and the use of Gitlab
- Comfortable with Elastic Search, Logstash, Kibana
- Demonstrated ability to participate in cross-functional planning, coordination, and task execution
Qualifications
- BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience
- 8+ years in software development, system engineering or related field, or 6+ years with Master's degree
Nice to Have
- Experience with systems at scale
- Experience/knowledge of key Agile processes and techniques
- Experience with development (Bash, PowerShell, SALT, Python, Groovy, Java)
- Experience on a production/ enterprise system
- Experience with Kafka or other message passing systems (AMQP, JMS)
- Kubernetes monitoring (e.g., Prometheus/ Graphana)
- SALT for deployment automation
- Helm and Helmfile
- Nexus
