DevOps Engineer

About This Role

Implement, maintain, and improve the development and production operations infrastructure and product environments for vehicle route optimization software. This role involves developing cloud-native architecture solutions, implementing infrastructure-as-code, and automating software builds and deployments.

Responsibilities

• Prototype and develop cloud-native architecture solutions in AWS using services such as EC2, S3, DMS, IAM, Route53, RDS, VPC, Lambda, SQS, SNS, EKS, CloudWatch, API Gateway, Cognito, Kinesis, OpenSearch
• Implement and maintain infrastructure-as-code using CloudFormation and Terraform
• Design, manage, and maintain automation for operational tasks and processes
• Develop and maintain roadmaps for AWS infrastructure updates and patches
• Define and deploy monitoring, metrics, and logging systems
• Support initiatives to improve system availability, scalability, and resilience (multi-AZ, multi-region, self-healing systems)
• Stay current with AWS technologies and recommend tools and services for integration into RouteSmart environments
• Automate software builds and deployments (CI/CD)

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with automated infrastructure and infrastructure-as-code
• Proficiency in at least one high-level programming language (e.g., Java, C#, Python)
• Understanding of REST APIs and JSON
• Knowledge of AWS authentication and security best practices
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to visually present and communicate architecture and design
• Collaborative mindset with a commitment to high-quality work and continuous learning

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Technology, or equivalent work experience
• 2-4 years of experience working with AWS
