Join a dynamic team focused on optimizing software delivery within a key technology division. This individual contributor role oversees the CI/CD pipeline, collaborating with various platform and development teams to plan and execute software releases.
Responsibilities
- Manage application release schedules, ad-hoc projects, and key infrastructure initiatives across multiple environments and scrum teams
- Protect development and production environments by applying appropriate controls to maintain high availability and adhere to security standards
- Automate project releases and manage deployment processes to significantly improve efficiency and delivery speed for critical business platforms
- Navigate and understand complex application systems, coordinating dependencies across various development teams and systems
- Communicate deployment statuses clearly, concisely, and timely to all partners throughout the development lifecycle
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of CI/CD processes and best practices
- Partner with developers, release management, product owners, and leadership throughout the agile software delivery lifecycle
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience working in an enterprise software delivery organization
- 5+ years managing release pipelines for complex and critical applications
- Expert knowledge of CI/CD tools in a cloud environment
- Skilled in branching strategies and code review processes
- Experience documenting and improving processes around CI/CD best practices
- Experience with data masking techniques to protect sensitive information in various environments
- Knowledge of advanced release strategy concepts, including deployments, tagging, versioning, and automations
- Proficiency in Python, Bash, and PowerShell scripting for custom automation solutions
- Proficiency in using command-line interfaces for managing development environments and metadata
- Expert knowledge of Agile methodologies and DevOps best practices
- Strong ownership mentality with a focus on stakeholder satisfaction and excellent collaboration skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including potential evenings, to support release triage as required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience working in an enterprise software delivery organization, specifically managing release pipelines for complex and critical applications.
