About This Role

This role supports the development team by organizing donor information and communications to ensure smooth administration of fundraising operations, contributing to increased brand awareness and revenue for the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Vice President of Development and External Affairs to execute on a development plan that increases brand awareness and revenue to support the organization’s strategic direction
  • Research policy issues and potential speakers, manage communications, and execute logistics for 20+ events throughout the year
  • Prepare briefing materials for and liaise with partners, government officials and their staff
  • Work closely with the Vice President of External Affairs to execute donor benefits through ongoing activities and events
  • Manage communications and record history of interactions and contributions for all donors and prospects
  • Organize donor information through use and maintenance of Every Action and any other donor databases
  • Email sponsorship packets and other correspondence to potential donors, volunteers, and guests in order to inform them of opportunities and activities
  • Manage donor research projects on prospective donors
  • Perform basic administrative duties - scheduling, email, drafting documents/spreadsheets
  • Work with the operations team to reconcile all revenue and follow up with accounts receivable

Requirements

  • 2 years of professional experience in development, fundraising, or campaigning
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrate sense of urgency, ability to independently determine priorities, maintain activity on a number of projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • High levels of organization and prioritization
  • Self-motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced, goal-oriented, team environment
  • Sound judgment, discretion, and commitment
  • Maintain confidentiality and a high degree of accuracy in donor records

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a similar role in development, fundraising, or campaigning

Nice to Have

  • Background in government and/or political campaigns
  • Experience with database management
  • Fundraising experience
