Detail Technician I

About This Role

Clean and detail vehicles, including interior and exterior cleaning, buffing, and vacuuming. Ensure vehicles are ready for staging and maintain safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Clean and de-trash the interior of vehicles, removing debris from all compartments
• Remove license plates, stickers, and window markings, disassembling spare tires as needed
• Wash vehicles using high-pressure washers or automatic equipment and clean engine compartments
• Clean and detail all exterior and interior panels, wheels, and trim
• Buff vehicles, applying compounds, cleaners, and polish to all surfaces by hand or with a rotary buffer
• Vacuum, shampoo, and spot clean vehicle carpets and upholstery
• Organize glove compartments, ensuring warranty and owner's manuals are returned
• Adhere to all safety and health procedures, actively participating in safety activities
• Drive vehicles into the building and to proper clean car staging areas as assigned

Requirements

• Valid driver's license
• Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED preferred
• Generally less than 2 years' experience in a related field

Nice to Have

• Previous experience in detail shop or buffing
