Derivatives Trader

About This Role

T3 Global is seeking an experienced Derivatives Trader to manage a portfolio, develop trading strategies, and make risk management decisions for derivative products including options, futures, and swaps. This role demands a blend of trading skills, market insight, and discipline working for a comprehensive destination for institutional traders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute trading strategies in various derivatives markets, including equity options, commodity futures, and listed swaps
• Conduct rigorous pre-trade analysis and post-trade evaluations
• Manage trading book risk, keeping within given parameters and limits
• Maintain an in-depth understanding of market structures, liquidity flows, and regulatory changes
• Stay abreast of macroeconomic indicators, company news, and other market-moving information
• Collaborate with other traders to share ideas and news
• Monitor real-time trading systems, ensuring correct operation and performance
• First loss capital

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably at a proprietary trading firm, hedge fund, or investment bank
• A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to work well under pressure, manage risk, and make decisions rapidly
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
