About This Role

This role involves coordinating a team of analysts to develop and implement the City's fair housing investments, supporting leadership in team culture, and identifying missing policies to advance HPD's fair housing priorities. It focuses on confronting discrimination and promoting programs that advance fair housing.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate a team of analysts in developing and implementing the City’s fair housing investments
  • Support FHPI and DHE leadership in building and maintaining a strong team culture
  • Identify missing policies and tools to advance HPD’s fair housing priorities and collaborate with cross-agency teams to develop evidence-backed policy proposals
  • Maintain a tracker for commitments and regularly meet with internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage the drafting of yearly reports to submit to council and the mayor, ensuring comprehensive and timely updates
  • Track reporting obligations and ensure timely submission of fair housing plans and related reports
  • Support program areas with the implementation and maintenance of systems to meet fair housing related targets
  • Collaborate closely within OPS, fostering learning and development across the team
  • Lead special projects and initiatives to affirmatively further fair housing, as needed

Requirements

  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university with specialization in an appropriate field of physical, biological, environmental or social science
  • At least two years of full-time research experience for master's degree holders; or a doctorate degree and one year of full-time supervisory/administrative/research experience.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university with specialization in an appropriate field of physical, biological, environmental or social science and three years of responsible full-time research experience or a doctorate degree with one year of experience. All candidates must have at least a master's degree in an appropriate field of specialization and at least two years of experience.
  • 1+ years of full-time experience in a responsible supervisory, administrative or research capacity for doctorate holders, or 3+ years for master's holders.
