Depot Manager Designate

About This Role

Lead and manage the operations of a Hire Depot for a leading modular buildings and site accommodation provider, ensuring smooth running, upholding Health and Safety standards, and driving profitability.

Responsibilities

• Learn to oversee depot operations to ensure everything runs seamlessly
• Uphold rigorous Health and Safety standards to protect team and operations
• Learn to manage depot performance to achieve operational and financial success
• Actively promote Wernick Hire and source new enquiries to grow the business
• Respond promptly to all enquiries, ensuring customer satisfaction
• Provide precise and profitable costing for all enquiries
• Conduct thorough site surveys and produce clear, accurate sketch drawings when needed
• Coordinate and manage hire contracts from order receipt to handover, including overseeing the hire period
• Keep a close eye on work in progress to ensure timely completion of orders
• Enhance the knowledge and skills of hire employees through effective training and mentorship

Requirements

• Excellent leadership skills
• Strong Communication skills
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Health and Safety awareness and implementation
• Ability to remain calm under pressure
• Full UK Driving License
• Previous man management experience

Qualifications

• Some previous man management experience, ideally within the same industry or the Hire industry in construction.

• Experience in the Hire industry
