Provide comprehensive, patient-centered dental care to elderly patients in various facilities, focusing on comfort and proper oral health. Conduct oral health assessments, develop treatment plans, and educate patients on maintaining good oral hygiene.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive dental care to elderly patients, including routine exams, cleanings, fillings, extractions, dentures, and other procedures as required
- Conduct oral health assessments, develop treatment plans, and offer recommendations tailored to the unique needs of each patient
- Educate patients on maintaining good oral hygiene and preventing dental issues specific to aging populations
- Work collaboratively with care staff to ensure seamless coordination of care
- Ensure a comfortable and safe environment for elderly patients, adapting to any physical or cognitive limitations
Requirements
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school
- Current state dental license and other required certifications
- Experience in geriatric dentistry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to providing patient-centered care
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
