Dental Assistant Instructor

About This Role

Inspire and mentor future dental professionals by providing hands-on education in dental assisting. This part-time role involves teaching classes directly in a dental office setting, leveraging your chair-side experience to equip students with the skills needed for entry-level positions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for each class by reviewing the provided curriculum, which may utilize lab stations
• Demonstrate dental skills/procedures and assist students as they practice hands-on in the lab
• Evaluate individual/group performance and make any necessary adjustments to meet student learning needs
• Enforce classroom management and ensure adherence to safety precautions
• Convey curriculum and pertinent skills via lecture and hands-on demonstrations

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Radiology Instructor License
• 5+ years of recent dental assistant or chair-side experience
• CPR/BLS certification
• Familiarity with Dentrix
• General Dentistry skills and procedures experience
• Basic computer skills (emailing, printing, scanning, troubleshooting, connecting to WiFi)
• Ability to commute to location(s)

Qualifications
