Dental Assistant Instructor

About This Role

Inspire and mentor future dental professionals by providing practical, hands-on education in a real dental office environment. Utilize your chair-side experience to teach entry-level dental assistant skills through a focused 12-week program.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for each class by reviewing the provided curriculum, which may utilize lab stations
• Demonstrate medical skills/procedures and assist students as they practice hands-on in the lab
• Evaluate individual/group performance and make any necessary adjustments to meet student learning needs
• Enforce classroom management and ensure adherence to safety precautions
• Convey curriculum and pertinent skills via lecture and hands-on demonstrations

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Radiology Instructor License
• 5+ years of recent dental assistant or chair-side experience
• CPR/BLS certification
• Familiarity with Dentrix
• General Dentistry skills and procedures experience
• Basic computer skills such as emailing, printing, scanning, troubleshooting, connecting to WiFi
• Strong communication skills
