About This Role

Join the Wainwright Dental and Associates team as a Dental Assistant, where you will provide exceptional patient care, assist dentists during procedures, and manage office operations in a supportive and learning-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients and sustain patient comfort while providing education throughout treatment
• Conduct thorough reviews of patient health history to ensure quality care
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography)
• Provide superior chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) to supported dentists during a wide variety of procedures
• Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping
• Prepare treatment room adhering to safety protocols and following OSHA & CDC recommendations
• Manage supply and inventory levels, including placing and expediting orders
• Partner with providers and the team to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize office workflow

Requirements

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
• Experience working in a fast-paced and customer-centric environment
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to protect PHI and maintain data safeguards (will require regular HIPAA training)

Nice to Have

• 1+ years of experience in a dental setting
• Dentrix or other dental software experience
• Dental assisting school certification
