Deli Clerk

About This Role

This role involves slicing, packaging, weighing, and selling various deli products while maintaining cleanliness and providing excellent customer service in the deli department.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high level of customer service to members
• Answer questions and recommend deli items
• Answer member calls and take special orders
• Slice, package, and weigh deli products, including cheeses and meats
• Prepare and package special orders and party trays
• Receive and inspect deli shipments
• Display, stock, rotate, and store deli products following food safety and quality standards
• Ensure all products are fresh and meet company quality standards
• Clean and sanitize deli equipment and food surfaces
• Ensure scale systems are in working order and items are weighed and priced accurately

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age

Nice to Have

• Work experience in a deli department
• Prior experience operating manual/power slicers and scales
• Knowledge of deli products
