The Day Porter is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and professional environment throughout the building during business hours, with a focus on high-visibility areas. This role involves responding promptly to tenant and property management requests to ensure high standards of cleanliness.
Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness of lobby, entrances, elevators, and common areas
- Monitor and service restrooms (restock supplies, wipe surfaces, spot mop)
- Perform continuous trash removal from common areas
- Respond to spills and urgent cleaning needs
- Spot vacuum and mop high-traffic areas
- Clean interior glass and entry doors as needed
- Maintain breakrooms and shared kitchen areas
- Report maintenance issues or safety hazards
- Assist property management with special requests
Requirements
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail
- Professional appearance and customer service skills
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- Reliable transportation and punctuality
- Strong time management
- Positive attitude and team mindset
- Ability to interact professionally with tenants and visitors
Qualifications
- Prior janitorial or porter experience preferred
