The Database Developer will provide BAU support, perform database performance tuning, and coordinate database activities for a large data warehouse. This role involves migrating applications to AWS/RDS and implementing robust database solutions.
Responsibilities
- Provide BAU support for the application, including investigation of business logic in PL/SQL
- Raise release tickets and coordinate various teams for database patches on weekends
- Migrate the application to AWS/RDS
- Perform database performance tuning and monitoring
- Manage database code/design and implementation
- Interface with production DBA and SA teams for technical support
- Coordinate with PM team for Geneos monitoring and Autosys scripts and scheduling setup
- Manage database activities including data copy, database security, and database troubleshooting
Requirements
- Strong SQL skills
- Strong PL/SQL skills
- Strong DBA activities including Oracle performance tuning and database troubleshooting
- Good knowledge in Linux
Nice to Have
- Experience in AWS/RDS
- Experience creating shell scripts
- Experience in creating Jules build for database deployment
