About This Role

This Data Scientist role supports multiple projects as part of a Systems Integrators and Data Scientists team, focusing on IT resource management, operations integration, budget formulation, and IT portfolio management. The position involves assessing and analyzing data, driving business transformation activities, and integrating new security products to enhance enterprise capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide system and requirements integration for IT development/engineering in support of enterprise portfolio and project management tools
  • Support financial and business efforts including a new cost recovery model initiative
  • Assess and analyze data through conversations with IT and finance Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)
  • Document and brief data related to subjects
  • Support an integrated security initiative by analyzing processes, approvals, and training
  • Formulate a plan and develop a roadmap for security initiatives, communicating with security SMEs
  • Integrate requirements and capabilities from across the Sponsor community into a centralized system
  • Design, test, and integrate new security products
  • Provide technical oversight and direction for integrating new technology or mission capabilities into existing environments
  • Engage with customers to determine requirements, evaluate options, and offer IT-based recommendations
  • Resolve complex IT problems efficiently and accurately, adhering to standards
  • Plan, test, and integrate new and upgraded versions of IT components, systems, applications, and tools
  • Identify opportunities to integrate and improve resources for customer needs, reviewing existing IT programs for refinements
  • Strategically plan new designs for integration into a budget reconciliation database structure
  • Review and acquire data from primary or secondary cost recovery data sources and maintain databases/data systems
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets including expenditure plans and business process analysis
  • Provide insight into industry trends and make recommendations on future direction, assessing new technologies
  • Analyze current processes and available tools to enhance change management processes
  • Develop all types of documents and reports, creating and updating graphics presentations for quality and usability

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance
  • Bachelors and 9 years or more experience; Masters 7 years or more experience
  • 5 years of experience tracking budgetary funds
  • 5 years of experience with portfolio & resource management
  • Experience developing use cases to improve information retrieval
  • Demonstrated experience in data analysis, requirements gathering, translations, and visualizing information clearly
  • Demonstrated experience developing and managing project schedules, utilizing MS Project and EVM
  • Experience with resource allocation and optimizing resource assignments
  • Experience developing Minimum Viable Increments (MVIs) based on gathered requirements
  • Background in Business/Financial areas
  • Experience working on both development and integration projects
  • Experience with ServiceNow

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters degree
  • 9+ years of experience with a bachelor's, or 7+ years with a master's, including 5 years tracking budgetary funds and 5 years with portfolio & resource management.
