About This Role

Join the Data Hub team to evaluate and expand data infrastructure, collaborating across product groups to transform customer data into transformative insights. This role focuses on building and maintaining a strategic data marketplace powered by Google BigQuery, serving as the foundation for next-generation analytics and AI/ML capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead data onboarding, integration, and curation activities to transform raw enterprise data into organized, valuable assets.
• Design, develop, and implement robust data models within Looker and BigQuery, specifically for the JH Insights application.
• Apply rigorous data validation techniques and quality checks to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
• Transform raw data into meaningful features suitable for analytical dashboards and AI/ML model development.
• Prepare and clean complex datasets for machine learning initiatives, including normalization, outlier detection, and feature selection.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and anomalies, translating findings into actionable insights.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with data engineering, product management, and business analysts to define requirements and deliver solutions.
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for data definitions, transformations, and models.
• Lead data-driven projects, mentor less experienced team members, and help shape the technical direction of data initiatives.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in a data science or data analyst role.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with Python and SQL in a data-related capacity.
• Experience with data warehousing tools such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Microsoft Fabric, or Redshift.
• Experience with data movement tools like Dataflow, Airbyte, Airflow, or dbt.
• Proven ability to collaborate with stakeholders including product management, data engineering, and business analysts.
• Strong understanding of designing and implementing complex data models in cloud data warehouses.
• Knowledge of machine learning concepts, algorithms, and their practical applications.
• Ability to lead projects, work independently on complex issues, and translate business problems into data-driven solutions.
