This role will manage the design, development, and maintenance of enterprise data solutions for ISO New England Inc., focusing on innovation, efficiency, and data integrity to support business decision-making and strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the design, development, and maintenance of the enterprise data warehouse, data marts, and BI data systems
- Drive innovation and efficiency through data-driven solutions
- Ensure the quality, reliability, and integrity of data processes
- Provide expertise in database design, data warehousing, project management, and Electricity Markets
- Develop and execute a comprehensive data strategy aligned with business goals and priorities
- Identify opportunities to enhance data collection, storage, and usage to drive business value
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their evolving needs and challenges
- Lead a team of data engineers, analysts, and application DBAs, providing technical guidance, coaching, and support
- Maintain 24/7 support rotation schedule for the team
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning
- Manage projects related to data engineering and business intelligence initiatives, defining project scope, goals, and deliverables
- Monitor progress, manage resources, and mitigate risks to ensure successful project completion
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in data engineering, business intelligence, or data analytics
- 3+ years of experience supervising technical staff
- 5+ years of programming experience in SQL, Python or DBT specializing in ETLELT
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of relational databases, data integration, data warehousing, and data mart design
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in data engineering, business intelligence, or data analytics; 3+ years supervising technical staff; 5+ years of programming experience in SQL, Python or DBT specializing in ETLELT
