Dairy Supervisor

About This Role

This role assists the Grocery Manager in overseeing the Dairy Department operations, including supervising staff, managing inventory, and ensuring a positive customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Grocery Manager in directing Dairy Department operations, including supervising and training personnel
• Order, receive, store, stock, control inventory, and build displays for dairy products
• Encourage and maintain enthusiastic customer awareness with emphasis on safe, friendly, and courteous service, including suggestive selling
• Assist in planning regular and seasonal merchandise requirements and special sales needs
• Rotate and face product, clean and dust shelves, and process outdated/spoiled products
• Order Dairy merchandise
• Train, teach, and coach dairy stocking and conditioning standards
• Assist with dry grocery order writing, stocking, and conditioning
• Manage backroom inventory, conditions, and standards
• Assist with grocery department merchandising and building displays
• May act as a backup cashier

Requirements

• High School Graduate or GED
• Stocking experience
• Ability to work in varied temperatures (refrigerated/freezer)
• Ability to work without lifting restrictions
• Ability to work with little/no supervision
• Knowledge of perishable rotation (FIFO) rules
• Takes pride in department presentation
