Dairy-Frozen Food Specialist

About This Role

Manage the daily operations of the dairy and frozen food departments, ensuring customer satisfaction and product quality, while leading and developing a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations in the dairy and frozen food departments
• Increase customer confidence and loyalty through consistent and compliant operating conditions
• Provide fresh and appealing products and prompt service
• Execute merchandising plans, mindful of standards, product levels, shrink, and sales trends
• Supervise, train, and develop team members, providing coaching and feedback
• Assist in creating a welcoming environment for customers, building and retaining confidence and loyalty
• Train department associates on freshness, product rotation, inventory levels, stocking, ordering, and cooler/freezer conditioning
• Assist in promoting trust and respect among associates by collaborating and communicating company information
• Ensure targets are met for department sales and shrink results
• Complete daily and weekly administrative tasks including emails, online training, scheduling, pricing changes, and orders
• Ensure company standards for safety, proper food handling practices, sanitation and productivity are maintained
• Adhere to all regulatory compliance requirements pertaining to food safety, USDA & COOL, and DOA
• Execute all product recalls and withdrawals in a timely manner

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age
• Authorization to work in the United States
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check
• Strong customer service skills
• Exceptional interpersonal, motivational and communication skills
• Knowledge of basic math
• Ability to handle stressful situations
• Ability to operate pallet jack, baler, and trash compactor
• Proficient with computer applications used in effectively operating the department

Qualifications

• High School / GED
• 0-3 years minimum of relevant experience
