Cybersecurity Internship

About This Role

The Cybersecurity Internship at Telligen offers a college student or recent graduate hands-on experience by assisting the Security Team with vulnerability management, incident investigation, and security training. The intern will gain exposure to a variety of cybersecurity skillsets in a robust environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the vulnerability management program, running vulnerability reports and partnering with internal customers to remediate issues
• Respond to malware/viruses on user endpoints
• Participate in security investigations by analyzing security tool alarms, responding to support tickets, and remediating discovered issues
• Participate in the setup and management of phishing testing programs
• Assist with audit documentation gathering and support

Requirements

• Currently enrolled or recently graduated from a college or university in MIS, Computer Science, or related STEM field
• Within 1-2 years of graduation (or recent graduate)
• Undergraduate or graduate student at an Iowa community college, private college, or regent university (or graduated from an Iowa high school if attending an institution outside of Iowa)
• Available to work 30-40 hours per week over the summer for a minimum of 8 weeks
• Current GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Demonstrated problem solving and analysis skills

Qualifications

• Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, or related STEM field degree
• Currently enrolled (or recently graduated) in a college or university seeking a degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, or related field. Must be within 1-2 years of graduation or a recent graduate.
