Cybersecurity Internship

About This Role

This internship offers an opportunity for a student in Cybersecurity or a related field to gain hands-on experience by assisting with monitoring, detection, and response to security incidents within supported systems and networks. The intern will receive mentorship from experienced cybersecurity professionals while contributing to real-world security challenges.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for cybersecurity initiatives by assisting in the monitoring, detection, and response to security incidents.
• Assist in identifying and analyzing potential security vulnerabilities within supported systems and networks.
• Assist in responding to security alerts, conducting preliminary investigations, and escalating incidents as necessary.
• Follow up with users and internal stakeholders on security-related requests, updates, and resolutions.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of security documentation, policies, and procedures.
• Appropriately record events, incidents, and their resolution using ticketing systems.
• Gain hands-on experience supporting ongoing security projects, such as vulnerability scanning, code analysis, security awareness training, and incident response exercises.
• Deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment by managing time and effort across multiple projects.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, IT, or related field degree program
• Basic computer knowledge/experience
• Basic troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of Windows Operating System
• U.S. Citizenship

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled at an accredited college/university in an undergraduate or graduate level degree program (Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, IT, or related field)
• Basic computer knowledge/experience
