Cybersecurity Engineer

About This Role

As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you will embed security-by-design principles into system architecture, cloud infrastructure, software configuration, and data handling approaches for an IOC system in Fort Meade, MD. This role involves defining cybersecurity controls, supporting RMF activities, and ensuring secure autonomous assessment data.

Responsibilities

• Embed security-by-design principles into system architecture, cloud infrastructure, software configuration, and data handling approaches developed during IOC
• Address access controls, data protection, segmentation, and preparatory RMF considerations to reduce authorization risk during follow-on implementation
• Ensure autonomous pentesting capabilities are deployed responsibly and align with DoD cybersecurity requirements as the capability transitions into IOC execution
• Define cybersecurity controls and secure configuration requirements
• Support RMF and authorization planning activities
• Ensure secure handling of autonomous assessment data

Requirements

• TS/SCI CI Poly clearance
• 10+ years experience with DoD cybersecurity frameworks and RMF
• Background in cloud and data security
• Experience conducting penetration testing, risk assessments, and vulnerability scans

Qualifications

• High School with 10+ years (or commensurate experience)
• 10+ years of experience with DoD cybersecurity frameworks and RMF
