This role is responsible for delivering excellent customer service within a call center setting, handling incoming inquiries, processing orders, and resolving issues to ensure a positive customer experience. The specialist will maintain relationships with customers and sales staff, provide product support, and utilize business software systems.
Responsibilities
- Maintain ongoing relationship with regional customers and sales staff by answering incoming calls, correcting order issues, processing customer orders, and resolving customer product or service issues
- Process sales orders and order changes and confirm shipment/delivery dates and cancellations
- Provide specialty gas/supplies sales and support to customers, other Customer Solutions Specialists, as well as outside sales team
- Use business software systems to retrieve customer information, verify inventory levels and process orders
- Verify customer credit status and complete necessary paperwork to issue credits or debits
- Provide quotes and assistance to sales force and management within set parameters
- Suggest additional and/or alternative products and services to meet customer needs, following established pricing guidelines
- Provide customers with informational materials such as sales brochures, marketing flyers
- Responsible for phone inquiries for service calls and part orders
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with all internal Linde customers
- Perform at a high level to meet call center performance metrics
- Outsource products and goods from internal and external locations
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- 2-4 years of customer service or in-store sales experience
- Prior industry experience including knowledge of current company products (hardgoods and welding supplies, industrial gas, specialty gas and medical gas)
- Hands-on experience in Specialty Gas/Hydrocarbon industries
- Strong computer skills
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Proficiency in computer systems and applications
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and be self-motivated
- Ability to work flexible hours
Qualifications
- High School Diploma required, college or equivalent experience preferred
- Minimum of 2 – 4 years of customer service or in store sales experience required
