About This Role

This role is responsible for delivering excellent customer service within a call center setting, handling incoming inquiries, processing orders, and resolving issues to ensure a positive customer experience. The specialist will maintain relationships with customers and sales staff, provide product support, and utilize business software systems.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain ongoing relationship with regional customers and sales staff by answering incoming calls, correcting order issues, processing customer orders, and resolving customer product or service issues
  • Process sales orders and order changes and confirm shipment/delivery dates and cancellations
  • Provide specialty gas/supplies sales and support to customers, other Customer Solutions Specialists, as well as outside sales team
  • Use business software systems to retrieve customer information, verify inventory levels and process orders
  • Verify customer credit status and complete necessary paperwork to issue credits or debits
  • Provide quotes and assistance to sales force and management within set parameters
  • Suggest additional and/or alternative products and services to meet customer needs, following established pricing guidelines
  • Provide customers with informational materials such as sales brochures, marketing flyers
  • Responsible for phone inquiries for service calls and part orders
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with all internal Linde customers
  • Perform at a high level to meet call center performance metrics
  • Outsource products and goods from internal and external locations

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • 2-4 years of customer service or in-store sales experience
  • Prior industry experience including knowledge of current company products (hardgoods and welding supplies, industrial gas, specialty gas and medical gas)
  • Hands-on experience in Specialty Gas/Hydrocarbon industries
  • Strong computer skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Proficiency in computer systems and applications
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and be self-motivated
  • Ability to work flexible hours

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required, college or equivalent experience preferred
  • Minimum of 2 – 4 years of customer service or in store sales experience required
