Assess and treat human responses to health problems, provide supportive care, and execute medical regimens in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) setting. This role requires adherence to Kaleida policies and New York State healthcare regulations.
Responsibilities
- Assess and treat human responses to actual and potential health problems
- Provide services such as case finding, health teaching, and health counseling
- Provide care supportive or restorative of life and well-being
- Execute medical regimens prescribed by licensed healthcare providers
- Adhere to current Kaleida policies and standards of practice
Requirements
- Current NYS registration as a Registered Professional Nurse/RN Permit
- American Heart Association-Basic Life Support (BLS) within 6 months of hire
- American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 1 year of hire/transfer for Critical Care Units
- American Academy of Pediatrics NRP certification within six (6) months of hire/transfer into Neonatal Intensive Care Units MFS and OCH
Qualifications
- Minimum one (1) continuous year of comparable work experience within two (2) years for external applicants, or nine (9) minimum months for internal applicants in the same job title or comparable area.
