Counter Sales - Warehouse Associate

About This Role

This role supports the operational performance of the location, builds strong customer relationships, drives sales, and fulfills customer needs while demonstrating high-level product knowledge. It involves both counter sales and warehouse duties.

Responsibilities

• Continuously demonstrate a high-level of product knowledge and technical expertise of all products and materials
• Proactively identify individual customer needs and offer appropriate programs, products, and solutions
• Promptly and accurately process sales orders
• Efficiently and effectively research products/services as needed
• Promptly and accurately provide quotes to customers and process their sales orders
• Maintain the location’s appearance in accordance with Company policy and safety standards
• Effectively and efficiently perform cycle counts as needed/directed by manager
• Efficiently and effectively fill/pull orders using appropriate tools and equipment
• Assist in the maintenance and presentation of all inventories and displays in the showroom
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with external customers
• Provide a consistent high level of customer service to both internal and external customers
• Assist customers in loading products/material into their vehicles when necessary
• Safely operate all warehouse equipment, including a forklift, hand truck, and pallet jack
• Follow all safety standards and requirements according to company policy, OSHA, and Hazmat standards

Requirements

• Proficient in the use of computers
• Ability to learn product management software
• Good communication skills and ability to professionally interact with customers
• Good work ethic and ability to work well with other team members
• Ability to lift and handle items weighing up to 50 pounds on a routine basis
• Analytical and cognitive abilities required to accurately enter data into Sales Order Entry System
• Ability to accurately attend to details and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to work with minimum amount of supervision under stressful conditions
• Ability to safely operate all tools and equipment, including forklift, pallet jack, and hand truck

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of comparable experience required
