Join Remedi SeniorCare as a Control Room Technician, ensuring the seamless fulfillment and delivery of controlled substance medication orders to long-term care facilities. This role involves meticulous packaging, labeling, and documentation to support patient care.
Responsibilities
- Package and label controlled substance medications into specialized packaging according to valid prescriptions for final pharmacist review
- Manage workflow and monitor orders to ensure all controlled substances entered for dispensing are packaged, labeled, verified, and properly toted
- Stage and tote all finished products, completing chain-of-custody documentation for courier hand-off
- Assist with maintaining accurate documentation and records for controlled substances
- Enter and update the pharmacy’s perpetual inventory system, including Controlled Inventory Management (CIM) for Schedule II medications
- Assist with prepackaging of controlled substances for future use and ensure appropriate documentation is maintained
- Fulfill replenishment requests for long-term care facilities’ on-site emergency supplies
- Support audits and inventory processes as needed
- Unpack and stock items received from the wholesaler (under pharmacist supervision) and immediately escalate any missing or tampered items
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written with English as the primary language
- Strong computer skills
- Thorough understanding of medical terminology and drug knowledge
- Math and analytical skills, with a focus on calculations
Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent required
- Entry level position, two (2) years working in a long-term care pharmacy preferred but not required
Nice to Have
- Minimum of two (2) years working in a long-term care pharmacy
