This role involves managing the full lifecycle of direct-to-Government proposal responses for Marotta’s Naval Systems Business Unit, ensuring timely and compliant submission. The Contracts Administrator will also create, revise, review, negotiate, and oversee company contracts and serve as the primary interface with Government customers.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of direct-to-Government proposal responses
- Ensure timely and compliant submission of proposals for Marotta’s Naval Systems Business Unit
- Create, revise, review, negotiate, and oversee company held contracts
- Serve as the primary interface with Government customers in conformance with FAR/DFAR, company objectives, and state and federal law
- Prepare quotes and proposals in response to customer RFx’s
- Perform analytics on Government aftermarket efforts to identify areas for improvement
- Analyze and evaluate RFx’s and ensure responsive bids are prepared in accordance with the RFx
- Coordinate with other company functions to schedule appropriate reviews of RFx and relevant documents
- Adhere to contract policies, procedures, methods, operating practices, and performance standards
- Serve as a liaison with the Program Management Office (PMO), Business Development (BD), other functional managers, and customers regarding contracting issues
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business administration
- 0-3 years of experience with contract administration, negotiations, and/or proposal preparation
- Knowledge of ITAR/EAR regulations
- Ability to establish and maintain relationships with internal and external customers
- Must be able to function in a fast-paced, team-focused environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be a US Citizen
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business administration
- 0-3 years of experience with contract administration, negotiations, and/or proposal preparation
Nice to Have
- Experience with various contract types, including firm-fixed-price (FFP), time and material (T&M), cost reimbursable (Cost-Plus), blanket purchase agreements (BPAs), long-term agreements (LTAs), and Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQs)
- Knowledge of federal acquisition regulation (FAR) and agency supplements (DFARS)
