This is a Construction Trainee role designed to help plan, organize, and direct construction projects to meet budget, quality, time, and safety objectives under the supervision of a Senior Superintendent.
Responsibilities
- Perform in-depth reviews of drawings and contract documents to understand requirements
- Schedule subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely completion of project deadlines
- Understand the subcontractor's scope of work to avoid unnecessary change orders
- Participate in weekly scope of work meetings with subcontractors
- Communicate project priorities to subcontractors and field staff
- Manage long lead items through the project schedule process
- Communicate daily with the Project Manager
- Work with the Project Manager in formulating the two-week look ahead
- Plan sequence of work using the timeframe provided by Estimating & Project Management
- Assist the Project Manager with change order management in defining scope and schedule impact
- Make schedule commitments and meet project completion date and milestones
- Coordinate with the Project Manager regarding changed conditions notifications
- Maintain a daily diary/log of all activities and site conditions
- Ensure project site binder and related documents are organized
- Ensure complete and accurate daily documentation of work orders/tickets
- Review T&M tickets for detail and accuracy
