Construction Quality Coordinator

About This Role

The Construction Quality Coordinator monitors all quality activities on a project to ensure compliance with the Quality Implementation Plan. This role involves participating in design phase activities, conducting inspections, and documenting reviews to ensure long-term quality performance.

Responsibilities

• Initiate a Quality Implementation Plan (QIP) for each assigned project
• Lead design quality kick-off meetings and ensure 30% and 100% design reviews are completed
• Identify quality risks and develop mitigation strategies early
• Review final design documents and geotechnical reports, advising project leadership on critical findings
• Oversee mechanical piping QA/QC, including weld inspections, material verification, and hydrostatic testing
• Assist with selecting and managing independent testing labs; oversee schedules, contracts, reports, and results distribution
• Conduct QA inspections, document deficiencies, and monitor corrective actions
• Ensure completion conferences and AE punch list reviews are conducted and documented
• Prepare and distribute lessons learned and final QIP reports
• Produce timely, well-structured QA reports

Requirements

• Familiarity with conducting field tours
• Familiarity with using BIM tools
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents and technical reports
• Experience leading preconstruction meetings and performing scheduled site inspections
• Skilled in working with client QA teams and guiding on-site inspectors
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Qualifications

• Entry level position, familiar with construction field tours and BIM tools.
