Hoar Construction is looking for a Construction Intern for Summer 2026 to gain exposure to estimating, project management, and field operations. This role is for students studying civil engineering, construction engineering, or building/construction sciences.
Responsibilities
- Gain an understanding of the construction process
- Participate in quantity takeoff/quantity estimating
- Work with the submittal process, maintaining appropriate logs, reviewing and approving shop drawings and submittals
- Prepare transmittals for distribution for project documentation
- Assist in jobsite setup, permitting, and closeout
Requirements
- Currently enrolled full-time in an accredited college or university
- Pursuing a four year or advanced degree in Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Building Science
- US Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Maintain a 2.5 or higher cumulative GPA
- Able to work 40 hours per week during the spring semester
- Completed college freshman year

- Four year or advanced degree in Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Building Science

- Desire to pursue a career in the construction industry upon graduation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Computer skills including working with spreadsheets
- Good communication skills
