The Computer Security Systems Engineer provides technical support for survivability and vulnerability research and analysis to enhance Force Protection and assessment concepts for USCENTCOM. This role involves developing transformational concepts, conducting security assessments, and analyzing information security requirements for specialized technology problems.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support in survivability and vulnerability research and analysis to inform USCENTCOM CCJ3 and CCJ5 requirements.
- Perform technical, analytical, and programmatic analyses to develop transformational concepts for a more effective, flexible, and agile force, including maritime operations.
- Perform routine project tasks related to specialized technology problems, integrating electronic processes or methodologies to resolve total system or Information Assurance problems.
- Conduct security assessments and security consulting services, analyzing information security requirements.
- Provide consultation on complex projects as a top-level contributor/specialist.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of Geographic Combatant Command (GCC) staff experience.
- Expertise on the functioning of a GCC, understanding regional employment of national strategic objectives, theater strategy, Combatant Command (COCOM) Campaign Plans (CCPs), COCOM Campaign Orders, Global Campaign Plans (GCPs), Annual Joint Assessment (AJA), and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (CJCS) Joint Risk Assessment (CRAs).
- Knowledge of Force Protection (FP) support to theater strategy, regional threats, security cooperation, advisory missions, phase zero operations, and Joint Security Area operations.
- Experience with the risk management process of the FP functions of Service Components (e.g., ARCENT, AFCENT, MARCENT, NAVCENT, SPACECENT, SOCCENT).
- DoD secret clearance required.
- Master's degree and/or Ph.D., or at least 12 years of experience in the field or a related area.
