Complex Adult Health/Critical Care Clinical Faculty

About This Role

Implement the College's academic philosophy and curriculum by providing clinical teaching and direct supervision to nursing students in complex adult health and critical care settings.

Responsibilities

• Implement the College's philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes, and course objectives through clinical teaching and service
• Assume responsibility for all autonomous aspects of individual teaching assignments
• Plan clinical experiences and provide direct supervision and evaluation of nursing students
• Evaluate and provide documented feedback to students on performance based on course objectives
• Be available for remediation of students as required or needed
• Orient and maintain current knowledge related to agency/clinical policies, procedures, and expectations
• Develop and post written clinical assignments consistent with student's knowledge base and skill competency
• Grade homework, quizzes, tests, lab assignments, clinical paperwork and other written work in a timely manner
• Keep course coordinator informed of all student and agency issues and concerns

Requirements

• Master's or doctoral degree in Nursing
• Unencumbered professional nursing license in Oregon
• At least two years professional experience in the last five years as a registered nurse in the area of instruction
• Genuine passion for nursing, education, and lifelong learning
• Exceptional subject matter expertise with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Eagerness to serve students and colleagues with passion, respect and care

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university
• At least two years professional experience within last five years in the area of instruction as a registered nurse

Nice to Have

• Teaching or precepting experience
