Provide compassionate non-medical personal care and supervision of safety to clients in their homes, assisting with daily living activities and emotional support.
Responsibilities
- Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, toileting, transferring, and eating/feeding
- Provide medication reminders
- Perform housekeeping duties including vacuuming, dusting, washing dishes, trash removal, laundry, and changing bed sheets
- Drive clients to and from planned outings, events, or appointments as needed
- Provide emotional and social support to clients
- Assist with grocery shopping and meal preparation
- Monitor the skin health of the client
- Assist with application and maintenance of prosthetics and orthotics
- Report any changes in the client's status to appropriate team members
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Active driver's license
- Insured vehicle
- Willingness to travel throughout the county
- Access to a working telephone
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
