This role is responsible for driving occupancy and revenue growth for assisted living communities by providing on-site sales support, community outreach, and sales closing activities. The director will also train and coach executive directors on marketing and sales techniques.
Responsibilities
- Support the Executive Director to achieve occupancy, move-in, and revenue targets
- Formulate and maintain the annual marketing/selling plan and budget
- Develop and implement marketing and selling plans, calendars, and activities
- Collaborate on and implement community-based special events
- Generate inquiries and move-ins through outside events, professional groups, and community involvement
- Maintain annual market competitive analysis
- Respond promptly to all internet, telephone, or in-person inquiries
- Close sales by assisting prospective residents and their families in the decision-making process
- Develop and maintain relationships with and generate leads weekly through referral sources
- Train and coach Executive Directors and backup teams in marketing, sales, and closing skills
- Conduct community/cluster/team training sessions on marketing and selling techniques
- Collaborate with the Executive Director, management, and ownership to develop and execute marketing plans
Requirements
- Ability to adhere to assisted living principles
- Ability to communicate and work within all levels of the company
- Ability to appropriately relate to the public, Residents, families, staff, and other professionals
- Ability to teach/train others effectively
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Ability to travel
- Maintains car in good working order, current driver’s license, and current auto insurance
- Ability to maintain accurate records and provide information as requested/required
Qualifications
- High school diploma is required, and a college degree with a concentration in marketing or equivalent sales experience is preferred.
- Successful experience in marketing/selling/closing sales of assisted living, housing community-based care, or health care.
