Commercial Litigation Partner

About This Role

Manage complex business and commercial litigation cases from inception through trial or resolution in State and Federal Court for a growing law firm. This role involves developing case strategy, handling court appearances, and supervising junior attorneys.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of commercial litigation, including case strategy, discovery, motion practice, depositions, court appearances, mediation, arbitration, and trial
• Handle emergent applications and orders to show cause in the Chancery Division
• Represent clients in a wide range of business and commercial disputes, including contract disputes, restrictive covenants, trade secret matters, confidential information, unfair competition claims, and partnership/LLC member disputes
• Draft pleadings, motions, and briefs; prepare and argue motions in state and federal court
• Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel
• Supervise and mentor junior attorneys and litigation support staff

Requirements

• Substantial experience managing complex business disputes
• Proven ability to handle matters independently from inception through trial or resolution in both State and Federal Court
• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Admission to the New Jersey Bar
• Minimum of 10 years of commercial litigation experience
• Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
