College Work Study Student-Reprographics

About This Role

The Work-Study Student in Reprographics operates printing and copying equipment, prepares printed materials, and performs routine maintenance. This role supports eligible students with financial needs through part-time employment within City Colleges of Chicago departments.

Responsibilities

• Operates printing machines, high speed copiers, collators, binders and other pressroom related equipment
• Prepares printed materials for college including calendars, note pads, and other documents
• Provides daily and weekly preventive maintenance on the Canon copiers by refilling paper, staples and toner
• Cuts printed materials to the assigned dimensions
• Uses various methods to bind printed materials including stitching, gluing or padding
• Adheres to the City Colleges of Chicago Customer Services Excellence Standards

Requirements

• 16 years or older with work permit consent and eligible to work in the United States
• Actively attending one of the City Colleges of Chicago
• Enrolled in a minimum of 6 semester hours pre-credit or credit classes
• Pursuing an approved educational credential, degree, or certificate
• Maintain a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA (waived for first semester new students)
• In good standing – no City Colleges of Chicago academic restrictions
• Not current Full or Part-time employees of the City Colleges of Chicago
• High School Diploma or actively pursuing a GED at the City Colleges of Chicago
• Excellent oral communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong Verbal Communication
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word
• Data Entry skills
• Attention to Detail
