Lead and develop teams, manage store operations, drive financial performance, and ensure customer service standards in a retail environment. Oversee job-related activities and provide development opportunities for hourly associates.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop teams by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates
- Communicate and collaborate regarding store operations, technology, business initiatives, and merchandising
- Introduce and lead company change efforts, providing clear expectations and guidance
- Model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards
- Manage and support customer service initiatives, ensuring resolution of customer needs and complaints
- Drive financial performance and sales of designated store area by evaluating P&L statements and managing budgeting
- Monitor and ensure effective merchandise presentation, inventory flow, and operational processes
- Develop and implement action plans to mitigate shrink and achieve sales and profit goals
- Provide supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates, including hiring, training, and mentoring
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, and support company mission, values, and ethics
Requirements
- 2 years of college
- OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience
- OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience
Qualifications
- 2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership
- Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership
- General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing
