This role is for a Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant (PCT/CNA) specializing in Cardio Thoracic care, providing appropriate basic care to patients in a fast-paced, heart and lung focused unit.
Responsibilities
- Provide appropriate safe basic care to patients
- Take vital signs
- Assist patients with activities of daily living
- Collect specimens
- Observe patients for physical/emotional changes
- Record pertinent information in patient charts
- Communicate with other Patient Care Team members to ensure continuity of care
- Function in a role providing constant supervision to patients as needed
Requirements
- CNA-Certified Nurses Assistant
- CPR American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS
Nice to Have
- High School Diploma or GED
- Six months experience in a clinical healthcare environment
- Six months experience in supporting physical, emotional and psycho-social needs of patients
