As a Clinical Business Analyst, you will bridge business needs with technology solutions, analyzing complex problems and delivering data-driven recommendations to enhance clinical systems and operations. This role focuses on defining, documenting, and implementing business requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Function as an individual contributor under moderate supervision and within defined guidelines
- Develop comprehensive documentation for moderately complex projects and information systems
- Apply advanced business analysis expertise to evaluate and resolve system issues
- Collaborate with teams to document detailed business requirements and system functionality
- Analyze user needs and identify, manage, and document changes in project scope
- Support all phases of system testing, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Maintain and verify bi-directional traceability of requirements throughout the project lifecycle
- Contribute to developing innovative solutions for business process challenges and efficiency
- Act as a key liaison between clients and technology teams
- Stay informed about emerging technologies, industry trends, and regulatory changes like HIPAA
Requirements
- 3-4 years experience in business analysis or closely related discipline
- Demonstrated experience with Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Comprehensive understanding of requirements management life cycle and industry best practices in business analysis
- Proven healthcare industry experience with a strong understanding of clinical and operational processes
- Ability to produce clear, concise, and well-structured documentation
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized, excellent analytical skills, and strong attention to detail
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field. Equivalent professional experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.
- Minimum of 3 to 4 years of relevant experience in business analysis or a closely related discipline.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Visio, and other collaboration tools
- Strong domain knowledge of healthcare programs such as Medicare, Medicaid, or related healthcare sectors
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team while also performing independently
- Demonstrated adaptability and resilience in navigating shifting priorities
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio, with solid working knowledge of the full Microsoft Office Suite
