Clinical Business Analyst

About This Role

As a Clinical Business Analyst, you will bridge business needs with technology solutions, analyzing complex problems and delivering data-driven recommendations to enhance clinical systems and operations. This role focuses on defining, documenting, and implementing business requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Function as an individual contributor under moderate supervision and within defined guidelines
• Develop comprehensive documentation for moderately complex projects and information systems
• Apply advanced business analysis expertise to evaluate and resolve system issues
• Collaborate with teams to document detailed business requirements and system functionality
• Analyze user needs and identify, manage, and document changes in project scope
• Support all phases of system testing, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Maintain and verify bi-directional traceability of requirements throughout the project lifecycle
• Contribute to developing innovative solutions for business process challenges and efficiency
• Act as a key liaison between clients and technology teams
• Stay informed about emerging technologies, industry trends, and regulatory changes like HIPAA

Requirements

• 3-4 years experience in business analysis or closely related discipline
• Demonstrated experience with Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Comprehensive understanding of requirements management life cycle and industry best practices in business analysis
• Proven healthcare industry experience with a strong understanding of clinical and operational processes
• Ability to produce clear, concise, and well-structured documentation
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Highly organized, excellent analytical skills, and strong attention to detail

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field. Equivalent professional experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.
• Minimum of 3 to 4 years of relevant experience in business analysis or a closely related discipline.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Visio, and other collaboration tools
• Strong domain knowledge of healthcare programs such as Medicare, Medicaid, or related healthcare sectors
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team while also performing independently
• Demonstrated adaptability and resilience in navigating shifting priorities
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio, with solid working knowledge of the full Microsoft Office Suite
