This role oversees clinical staff providing UM Review services for Medicaid Members within Arkansas, ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines and meeting contract deliverables. The supervisor will plan, organize, and direct the review team's work activities, fostering positive relationships with internal and external customers.
Responsibilities
- Assure accuracy and timeliness of all applicable review type cases within contract requirements
- Assess, evaluate, and address daily workload and queues; adjust work schedules daily to meet department demands
- Analyze productivity of reviewers
- Identify clinical staff orientation and continuous learning needs and develop/implement plans to address them
- Perform Annual Performance review of supervised staff
- Responsible for quality monitoring activities, including identifying areas of improvement and plan implementation
- Maintain current knowledge base related to review processes and clinical practices
- Perform all applicable review types as workload indicates
- Foster positive and professional relationships and act as liaison with internal and external customers
- Represent the organization and prepare written statements in state appeal hearings
Requirements
- Active unrestricted Arkansas Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW) OR a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) OR a Licensed Psychological Examiner (LPE-I)
- 5+ years of relevant clinical experience in a behavioral health setting
- 2+ years of Utilization Management, Utilization Review, or Prior Authorization experience
- 2+ years of supervisory or people management experience
Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant clinical experience in a behavioral health setting, 2+ years of Utilization Management, Utilization Review, or Prior Authorization experience, and 2+ years of supervisory or people management experience.
