Client Development Specialist

About This Role

Coordinate initial outreach to qualify new client firms for campus unit programs, discover prospective client needs, and ensure their eligibility. This role contributes to positioning Georgia as the Technology Capital of the East Coast through community research, student engagement, workforce development, and economic opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Perform outreach to potential client firms and referral sources via direct mail, e-outreach, and personal presentations
• Lead market research efforts to identify potential clients and stay abreast of industry trends and government policies
• Determine initial/continued client eligibility for program based on specific program requirements
• Develop client trust to secure classified or confidential company information to satisfy program requirements
• File program eligibility documents, track petition progress through the approval process, and offer corrective action as appropriate to transition potential clients to qualified clients
• Prepare metrics and reports to track and recommend areas of improvement
• Maintain applicable database with relevant information

Requirements

• Thorough understanding of the unit's program legislation
• Advanced knowledge of each client's applicable reports
• Full understanding of the firms product lines, production process, employment practices, and exporting/importing activities
• High degree of customer orientation and relationship-building skills
• Working knowledge of research and analysis

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Finance or a related Business field or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Three to four years of job related experience

• Master's of Business Administration (MBA)
