The Civil Site Development Project Manager coordinates project schedules and material flow, ensuring profitable projects by working with general superintendents, customers, and subcontractors. This role involves communicating project status internally and externally and managing billing information.
Responsibilities
- Comply with all safety policies, procedures, and established safe practices, and ensure that all employees reporting to you do the same
- Monitor the safety practices (including PPE) of all team members and proactively address deficits
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area meeting housekeeping needs as required by Sunrock, MSHA 30 CFR 56.20003, and OSHA 29 CFR 1910.22
- Coordinate schedules and material flow of projects
- Consolidate and document billing information on a routine basis
- Interpret and explain contracts and technical information to other professionals
- Report work progress and budget matters to clients
- Collaborate with general superintendents, customers, and subcontractors
- Select subcontractors and schedule and coordinate their activities
- Respond to work delays, emergencies, and other problems
- Comply with legal requirements, safety codes, and other regulations
- Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill
- Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
Requirements
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret engineering and construction plans and designs, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
- Intermediate personal computer skills, including electronic mail, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and delegate assignments
Qualifications
- Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
