About This Role

The Children Behavioral Health Technician works directly with children, staff, and families at Boys and Girls Clubs of the Valley locations in Phoenix, AZ. This role implements prevention models and clinical approaches, acting as a liaison between Terros Health and the co-located clubs.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct engagement processes with families to identify natural/formal supports as outlined in the Arizona Model, Child and Family Team (CFT) process, and RBHA for enrolled families.
  • Facilitate CFT/Service Plan meetings according to Arizona Model and RBHA guidelines to create individualized service plans.
  • Ensure families understand the behavioral health process, the role of CFT Facilitator, and ensure family participation that links them to natural or community-based supports.
  • Coordinate and schedule CFT/Service Plan meetings with natural, formal supports, and system stakeholders.
  • Submit appropriate referrals to clinical outpatient services within agency and other behavioral health providers identified by the CFT.
  • Update and maintain electronic medical records on each case including Annual Assessment Update, RBHA demographics, CALOCUS, and CFT/Service Plan.
  • Complete strength assessments and crisis/safety plans with families according to RBHA and ADHS guidelines.
  • Develop positive supportive relationships with consumers, family, stakeholders, and other Terros and Boys and Girls Club employees.
  • Actively lead group prevention or therapeutic group activities at assigned Boys and Girls Clubs of the Valley locations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in behavioral health

  • Bachelor's degree in behavioral health
  • No experience required with a Bachelor's degree in behavioral health (training provided).
